Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) are launching a joint program - STANISLAVSKY. METHOD. The best teachers of one of the largest theater universities in the world will go to the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), South Ossetia and Greece to teach the basics of performing arts according to the Stanislavsky system. Master classes and trainings will be held in the professional theaters and academies of theater arts.
The program STANISLAVSKY. METHOD starts on September 21 in Bishkek and Baku. The routes of the GITIS academic tour include Athens, Brest, Gomel, Yerevan, Gyumri, Dushanbe, Almaty, Tashkent, Chisinau and Tskhinval. At the same time, the topics of classes in each country will be different — the project participants have determined on their own which of the directions and information about the extensive theater system of Stanislavsky will be most relevant for them.
«The project of Rossotrudnichestvo STANISLAVSKY. METHOD for GITIS - is a happy opportunity to meet with those for whom the Russian theater school is a dream. Thanks to Rossotrudnichestvo, we had the opportunity to share our «secret knowledge», the secrets that the teachers of our current masters possessed and that the current teachers of GITIS share with modern students. For some, these schools will become advanced training courses, for others — the first acquaintance with the profession and a reason to establish themselves or, on the contrary, to doubt their own choice. Acting is an everyday and hard work, a craft that is necessary as well as talent. Talent is from God, but we will be happy to share our craft», stated Grigory Zaslavsky, Rector of GITIS.
Narmin Shiralieva, Adviser to the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, notes that the project will develop and scale exponentially — as the Stanislavsky system itself. «We will receive an influx of applicants to GITIS and other theater universities in our country. We remind you that the psychological school of the Russian theater — is the school of experience, which remains the most lively tool that is successfully used by the best artists around the world. In addition, the contact established by Rossotrudnichestvo with the GITIS team will become the starting point for future joint theater projects for the CIS theaters».
